Festival Director Matt Grant feels delighted Peats Ridge is shaping up to be one of Australia’s hottest New Years tickets.
“We’ve got a great eclectic line-up of music from musicians and bands of the moment, those soon to break, and others you may not have heard of, but that I know our fans will love,” he says.

“With more announcements to be made, including (incredibly) more new artists, Peats Ridge renowned arts and cultural program, sustainability program and children’s festival for music lovers with kids, fun and surprises still await.”
Fans may be particularly excited by Jim Ward’s return to Australia. Famed as a member of legendary groups ‘At the Drive In’ and ‘Sparta’, Ward makes his revisit fresh off the back of a just released solo album “Quiet in the Valley, on the Shore, the End Begins”.

Yukon Blonde comes to Australia for the first time fresh from a 30 day US Tour. They’ve shared the stage with hit artists - The Jezabels, Duchess and the Duke and Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros. Insiders say there’s an excited expectation new material will be released in Australia soon
.
Melbournian band Oh Mercy is another fantastic local addition. Aussie legend Paul Kelly has noted they’re a band that inspires him to write and they were recently nominated for an ARIA award for their album ‘Great Barrier Grief’.
Another hot Aussie band - Canyons, signed with trend making record label Modular - will perform established music as well as music from their much anticipated new album ‘Keep Your Dreams’ at the Festival.

Music fans will also love seeing New Navy. Fresh from headlining the Sydney launch of Triple J’s Unearthed Radio Station, the band is currently making waves, with their newly released EP ‘Uluwatu’ enjoying high rotation alongside their hit single ‘Zimbabwe’.

Now in its eighth year representing the best and brightest of Australian and international music acts, Peats Ridge offers a festival experience like no other. Staged at Glenworth Valley along rolling green riverbanks (29 December - 01 January), the Festival is just an hour’s drive from Sydney - ideal for a three day New Years camping escape.

Music’s man of the moment, and singer of the ARIA chart topping “Somebody I Used to Know” Goyte, will herald in the New Year at Peats Ridge. He’ll be joined by funk and folk man Xavier Rudd, indie foursome The Holidays, Underbelly theme song creators The Paper Scissors, house legends The Stanton Warriors, The Dum Dum Girls, and Mountain Mocha Kilimanjaro.

Peats Ridge has helped launch some of Australia’s greatest music sensations - Angus & Julia Stone, The Temper Trap, Kate Miller-Heidke, Washington, Cloud Control and more.
