The extravaganza that is the Splendour Bender will have already begun for some making the distance on the road as we speak, to what is undoubtedly one of the best of Australia’s music festivals.

With the festival’s first official act’s, such as ‘unearthed’ band, Millions, and World’s End from Melbourne, beginning today at 11am, they are sure to set off what is to be one of Splendour’s best offerings yet.

This year 30,000 people, including reportedly Kate Moss, will make ‘Woodfordia’ their home for the weekend. And what a place it will be with Kanye and DJ Shadow gracing the stage tomorrow night; Gomez, The Grates, Architecture in Helsinki, The Aston Shuffle, Jane’s Addiction and PNUA giving us some loving during Saturday; and rapping up the show Bliss N Eso, Cut Copy, Flight Facilities and Coldplay on Sunday night.

For those of you up early enough, and actually bright enough to attend, there will be yoga classes on offer at 9am by some great Sunshine Coast teachers. There will also be many other spiritual and healing types of events at the festival, as well as a mini shopping mall with brands such as Cheap Monday and Tree of life, a day spa, some great bars, and awesome food, tea, and drink stalls on site.
