A great venue must have 'that' element that drives it - the life force pulsing through its veins. One could only conclude that the heart of a great Melbourne venue is the bar. At Yak they took this literally and put it into practice, by situating the heart, aka bar, in the very centre.Our distinctive interior is a fusion of Middle Eastern and West Asian influences - a warm, welcoming space with a choice of two areas for functions. The bar/lounge accommodates between 70-90 for cocktails while our main dining room also serves up to 100 for cocktails or 60 for a sit down affair.

Yak serves a great range of meals for lunch and dinner. There is a selection of tapas plates that are ideal for absent-minded snacking while sipping on something more serious - or can constitute a full meal for a couple or a group. The mains, such as the roast duck and mushroom risotto, provide something a bit more substantial to fuel the night ahead.
